Securing Your Spot: All tour bookings are processed through our online booking widget. A reservation is only confirmed once your payment or deposit has been successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email.
The All-Inclusive Guarantee: Your tour fee covers the specific inclusions listed for your route, including your premium motorcycle rental, fuel, comprehensive insurance, riding gear, accommodation, park fees, and meals. Personal expenses, flights, and alcohol are not included unless specified.

Licensing: All riders must possess a valid, unrestricted motorcycle license capable of handling high-capacity adventure bikes. International riders must present a valid international driving permit (IDP) alongside their country’s license.
Riding Levels & Assessment: Each tour is rated for different riding levels (from light tarmac to technical gravel like THE Gravel ODYSSEY). It is your responsibility to choose a tour that matches your skill level. Our guides reserve the right to restrict a rider from certain technical sections if they judge it unsafe for the rider or the group.
Helmets & Protective Gear: Wearing full protective gear—including the helmet, jacket, trousers, gloves, and boots provided (or your own approved gear)—is mandatory at all times while operating the motorcycle.

Comprehensive Insurance: All our premium bikes (BMW F800 GS, Honda Africa Twin, KTM 1290) are fully insured. This coverage is built into your tour package.
Rider Responsibility: While comprehensive insurance is included, riders are expected to operate the machines with respect and follow the guide's instructions. Insurance does not cover gross negligence, illegal riding behavior, or operating the motorcycle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Limited Schedule: Because we prioritize a premium experience, we strictly limit our schedule to a maximum of two tours per month. Due to this high exclusivity, cancellations impact our schedule and logistics heavily.
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your booking, refunds are calculated based on how far in advance you notify us:
- 90+ days notice: Full refund minus a R2,500 administrative fee.
- 60–89 days notice:50% refund of the total tour price.
- 30–59 days notice:25% refund of the total tour price.
- Under 30 days notice:No refund can be issued.
Route Changes: Nature and weather on adventure routes can be unpredictable. Our guides reserve the right to alter itineraries, routes, or accommodations on the fly to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the entire group.

Acceptance of Risk: Adventure motorcycle touring involves inherent risks. By booking a tour, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Altitude Adventures, its owners, and its guides are not liable for personal injury, property damage, or loss incurred during the tour. We strongly recommend all riders maintain comprehensive personal travel and medical insurance.
